Glow plugs fail leading to EML and obvious starting problems. 2.0DTi: Injection pumps fail at 60-80k if using crappy diesel (see Adsa/Morrisons, Tesco). £800 for a recon unit including fitting! A bad fuel pump, ignition problems, clogged fuel filter, bad mass airflow sensor, and bad crank/camshaft sensors are just a few of the problems that can cause an engine to not start. 5. Poor Shifts. The transmission may have a hard time shifting, or not even be able to shift at all. Conclusion: Opel Astra Bad PCM Symptoms
Another thing I was thinking actually was maybe a issue with the lead running from the battery in the boot to the first of the car. But something like that be happening maybe more often. P.s the car has starting and stopped at least 5/6 times since this morning starting right on the button. R.
Concerned Terminals PEPS:21 - CIM:18. This leads to a defective Steering column lock actuator, PEPS control unit or CIM if the wiring checks out. It may be your steering lock is jammed or broken, try moving the steering wheel about as you press the start button. On Keyed cars you sometimes can't turn the key due to the position of the steering

3. Vehicle. Astra (H) 1.6. It just seems strange that it only started doing this a few months ago. It is almost like it swings a few times, fires then dies, sometimes I just rest my foot on the gas a bit and it help, it initially runs a bit rough for a few seconds them smooths out, that is from cold start. As I say once it has fired up and run
Zafira 1.9 CDTi Poor starting. Ive had a Zafira 1.9cdti 8V 120bhp 07 for nearly a year now. Had the DPF removed and EGR blanked and both programmed out the ecu. Been great until last few weeks car seems to wind over for 10-15 seconds before it starts. Once started it seem to run fine.
Step 1 - Get out of car take keys with you. Step 2 - Walk around to passenger side and open door. Step 3 - Lean over and lock the Drivers door by pushing lock down. Step 4 - Close passenger door. Hey Presto car is locked with no alarm, bit of a mission until we can afford to buy a power sounder. btw using the key also sets the alarm.
